Online PF Transfer

PF Transfer is made easy with a click of a button. Yes finally the Online PF Transfer is implemented in the EPF systems. Can't believe? Follow the steps to transfer your PF online.

To Transfer PF Online:

  1. Register on the following portal: http://members.epfoservices.in/
  2. Enter the required details.
  3. Download the e-passbook to check the balance. The total balance in your PF account will be displayed.
Note: If you are downloading the e-passbook for the first time, then you need to send a request to the EPF office to allow you to download. This request processing will take 3 working days. Simply click the Request button.
  4. Now logout.
  5. Login to the following portal: http://memberclaims.epfoservices.in/index.php
  6. Use the same credentials as in step 1 and login to this portal.
  7. Enter all the required details.
  8. Enter previous employer PF number and click Get Details. Your details will be displayed. Ensure your details are correct.
  9. Enter current employer PF number and click Get Details. Your details will be displayed. Ensure your details are correct.
  10. Select either previous employer or current employer option button to initiate the transfer process and click Submit. The Transfer Details form is displayed.
Note: It is better to go for previous employer as it takes less time. If you choose current employer, in that case the current employer has to send the transfer form to the previous employer and get the details. There will be lot of back and forth processing. Therefore it is better to go for previous employer.
  11. Take a print out of the Transfer Details form, put your signature, and send it to your previous employer.
Note: My previous PF account was in Chennai. So I had to courier it, which costed me 90 bucks.
  12. Thats all. Its Done!. It would take 10-15 days for the transfer to take place, depending upon your previous employer.
  13. You would receive mail with the name of the contact person and the mobile number, in case you want to call or follow up on your transfer status. Additionally, at every stage of your transfer, you will receive alerts on your mobile number with the status updated. Now you couldn't ask for more :).
Hope it helped someone.
